Preparation Instructions:
I have to thank Ernie from Nashville Tennessee for sending me this delightful bees honey animal crackers recipe. To begin the preparation process, first you will want to preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, or 190 degrees Celsius. Next take out an electric food processor, and grind together the whole wheat baking flour, regular rolled oats, baking soda, and table salt. Once your flour base has become a fine and even powder, pour it into a large mixing bowl. Moving along, next take out an electric mixer, and beat together the flour base, while black sage honey, sweetened condensed milk, softened unsalted margarine, and fresh whole egg. Beat these ingredients together until a firm and stiff dough forms. If you need more flour to thicken it, then by all means add some. Next you want to clean and sterilize a flat surface, then lightly dust it with a little leftover flour. Next roll your cracker dough into a ball, then flatten it out to a quarter inch thickness using a baking roller. Next pull out your animal cookie cutters, and make a wide variety of different shapes. Place your cut shapes on to a lightly greased cookie sheet, then slide them into the oven to bake for about eight to ten minutes, or until they are crisp and golden brown. Let them cool on a wire wrack to room temperature before serving them. They go great with warm tea or cold milk.
