Preparation Instructions:
Tony from Phoenix Arizona sent our staff this sweet and tasty cocoa animal crackers recipe. To get the recipe rolling, please preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius. Next take out your blender, and pour into the vessel the organic toasted rolled quick oats, white all purpose baking flour, Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder, white granulated sugar, baking soda, and kosher salt. Pulse your blender until this base mixture is completely ground up into a delicate powder, and the color and texture are even and consistent. Pour this mixture into a mixing bowl, then vigorously stir in the cold whole milk and softened real butter. Stir until your dough becomes stiff, adding any extra milk if you need to. Next roll your cracker dough into a ball on a clean flat surface, then flatten it out into a quarter of an inch thickness. Using animal cracker or cookie cutters, make as many shapes as you can with the dough. Place your finished shapes on to a lightly greased baking sheet, then slide it into the oven to cook for ten to fifteen minutes, or until the crackers are crisp. Let them cool on a wire wrack for half an hour, then serve them with milk. We hope you enjoyed this unique and delicious recipe.
