Preparation Instructions:
I would like to send out a warm thank you to Jeremy from Philadelphia Pennsylvania for allowing us to publish his mock Nabisco animal crackers recipe. For step one, first you will need to take out an electric coffee grinder, and then grind your Quaker rolled quick oats into a fine powder. Mix the ground oats into a mixing bowl with the white all purpose baking flour, white superfine baking sugar, baking soda, and table salt. Once all of those ingredients have been evenly sifted together, you will then want to take out an electric mixer. Beat together the flour mixture with the pure vanilla extract, all vegetable shortening, and hot bottled water. Once your cracker dough is firm and even, roll it into a ball on a flat and clean, flour dusted surface. You will then want to flatten your dough to an eighth inch thickness, and cut it up using animal shaped cutters. Place your cut crackers on to a pregreased cookie sheet, making sure to space the crackers one inch apart on all sides. Finally you are ready to bake the crackers, so place them into the oven set at a temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius. Bake the crackers for roughly ten minutes, or until they are a light golden brown in color. Cheers, and thanks for reading this mock animal crackers recipe.
