Preparation Instructions:
This sugar free animal crackers recipe was sent in to us for publishing by Bruce of Auckland New Zealand. To begin, first you will want to set your oven to a preheat temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius. Next take out a food processor, and then pour into the vessel the Splenda brand sugar free sweetener, organic quick rolled oats, multi blend gluten free baking flour, all natural baking soda, and kosher salt. Grind these ingredients together at a high pulse rate until an even and fine flour or powder forms. You will then want to pour this powder into a large heavy mixing bowl. Next take out an electric baking mixer, and whip together this flour base, vegetable shortening, hot bottled spring water, and pure vanilla extract. After mixing the dough batter for a couple of minutes, a rigid dough clump should form. You will then want to roll this dough clump into a ball on a flat and sterile surface. Moving along, next you will want to refrigerate the dough ball for roughly half an hour, so that it has time to harden. Next dust your counter surface with flour, then flatten the dough ball out to a quarter inch thickness, then take out your cracker cutters. Cut out as many shapes as you can, then place them on a well greased cookie or baking sheet. Line the crackers one inch apart, so that they have room to expand. You should then slide the sheet into the oven so that the crackers can bake for ten minutes or so, or until they are crisp at the edges, and golden brown in color. Let them cool to room temperature before serving them. That concludes this wonderful recipe.
