Preparation Instructions:
This appetizing brown sugar animal crackers recipe was sent in to me by Joel of Harrisburg Pennsylvania. To get the recipe rolling, please take out a blender or food processor, and plug it in. You will then want to pour into the vessel the organic naturally white unbleached flour, rolled oats, Caribbean reef ground sea salt, and pure baking soda. Grind these initial ingredients into an even and fine powder. Once the powder is finished, pour it into a mixing bowl. You will then want to manually beat into the flour base the dark brown cane sugar, organic 2% milk, large fresh whole egg, and pure Wesson vegetable oil. Stir and work the dough until it's firm and stiff. You will then want to roll the dough into two even sized balls, then wrap them in wax baking paper and let them chill in the refrigerator until hardened. While your dough is chilling, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius. Next clean a counter surface, then dust it with some of the remaining flour. Moving along, next roll your dough out to a quarter inch thickness. Using animal shaped cookie cutters, prepare all of your unbaked crackers, then place them on a nonstick cookie sheet. You will then want to slide the crackers into the oven to bake for about ten minutes, or until they are crisp and lightly golden. Let the animal crackers cool on a wire wrack for half an hour before serving them.
