Preparation Instructions:
Tom from Cherry Grove Oregon sent us this amazing fat free animal crackers recipe. To get started first you will want to preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, or 190 degrees Celsius. Next take out a coffee grinder and plug it in. Next add into the grinder the rolled quick oats, then blend them into a fine powder. Moving along, next take out a medium size glass mixing bowl, and stir together the ground oats, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, white all purpose baking flour, baking soda, and fine ground table salt. For the next step you will want to cut in the fat free butter. Next stir into the mixture the organic fat free milk and liquid bees honey, working the batter until it becomes a stiff and rigid dough. Next lightly dust a flat surface with flour, then take out a rolling pin and work over your dough so that it is flattened to an eighth inch thickness. You are now to take your animal shaped cutters, and prepare your shapes. Place these shapes one inch apart on a greased cookie sheet. Finally you will want to slide this cookie sheet into the oven so that the crackers can bake for five to seven minutes, or until their edges are lightly toasted. Let the animal crackers cool on wire racks until they reach room temperature.
