Preparation Instructions:
I would like to thank Melissa of Honolulu Hawaii for emailing us this scrumptious frosted animal crackers recipe. For step one, please take out a mixing bowl. Whisk into the vessel the white all purpose baking flour, baking soda, and fine ground kosher salt. Once those initial ingredients are sifted together, take out an electric mixer and a second mixing bowl, and cream together the white superfine baking sugar and real unsalted butter. Next stir into the butter mixture the large fresh whole egg and pure vanilla extract. Once your buttery mixture is even, gradually mix it together with the flour mixture, stirring until a firm dough forms. Next you should roll your dough into two even balls, then roll them out to a ten inch diameter. Chill these two dough pieces for one hour in the refrigerator. Moving right along, next preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius. You will then want to cut your dough using small animal cracker cutters, then place each piece on a parchment lined baking sheet one inch a apart. Bake the crackers for fifteen minutes, or until they are golden brown, then let them cool. Next take out a saucepan, and melt your white chocolate chips. Once the chocolate has melted, spoon the sauce over the top of each cracker within the cookie sheet. Finally garnish them with the rainbow nonpareil sprinkles, then place them into the refrigerator to chill for one full hour. That concludes this recipe, we hope you enjoyed it.
