Preparation Instructions:
Michael from Raleigh North Carolina sent me this amazing vanilla animal crackers recipe. For step one you should heat up your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius. For step two you will need to take out a large cookie sheet, and then spray it with nonstick baking spray. For step three, please take out a coffee grinder, and grind your old fashion oats into a light and fluffy powder. Pour your powder into a large glass mixing bowl. Next take out an electric mixer, and blend together the ground oat powder, organic soy flour, granulated date sugar, kosher salt, and baking powder. Next beat in the salted butter, vanilla extract, and hot tap water. After mixing the ingredients together well, eventually a large dough clump will form. Roll this clump into a ball on a clean and flour dusted surface, then flatten it using a rolling pin to an eighth inch thickness. You are now ready to begin cutting out your crackers, so dip the sharp rim of your cracker cutters into a little flour, then cut out many different shapes. Next you should line your crackers on to the already greased baking sheet, spacing them one inch apart. Once your cookie sheet is full, slide it into the oven to bake for eight to fifteen minutes, or until the little crackers are crisp and golden. Do be sure not to burn them.
