Preparation Instructions:
This mock Keebler animal crackers recipe was sent in to us by Amy of Garibaldi Oregon. For step one, please preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius. Next take out a coffee grinder, and thoroughly blend the Quaker oatmeal into a fine powder. Add this powder to a mixing bowl, then stir in and sift together the white baking flour, baking soda, table salt, and granulated sugar. Next take out an electric mixer, and beat together this first mixture of ingredients with the vanilla extract, hot bottled spring water, and vegetable shortening. Beat these ingredients together until your cracker dough is firm and even. Next roll the dough into a ball on a clean and flour dusted surface. Next you will want to take out a roller, and then flatten out the dough to an eighth inch thickness. Moving right along, next dip the rims of your animal shaped cookie cutters into a little flour, then cut up a whole variety of shapes. Place these shapes on to a greased baking sheet, then slide them into the oven to cook for ten minutes, or until they are crisp and golden. While your crackers are baking, take out a saucepan and completely melt all of your white chocolate morsels, then remove the saucepan from the burner. By this time your crackers are done, so you will want to let them cool, then frost each one with a little melted white chocolate. Lastly you will want to place the crackers in to the refrigerator so that the frosting can harden. That wraps up this mock recipe.
